Are you looking for a proper gravel hike with a nutritious profile and beautiful views? This route will take you from the Krkonoše Mountains to the foothills, through mountain meadows, forests and quiet village roads.
From the center of Špindlerův Mlýn , you will drive through Jelení důl (valley) and Rovinka (refreshments) to Benecko (mounatin village), where the first panoramas await you. From there, you will continue through Štěpanice (mounatain village) and continue along the road to Sytová (mountain village). After the Peřimovský bridge, you will connect to the dirt road leading to Jilemnice (town).
The route will take you to the biathlon area at Hraběnka , from where you will head through the castle forests to Horní Branná (mounatin village). After the village, you will turn around the airport, and through Valteřice (mountain village) you will climb to the old cowshed. Get ready for a short but demanding climb of about 300 meters - in places you may not even be able to avoid pushing your bike.
Your reward will be a beautiful route to Křížovky (tourist point), then through Nová Velbloudeka (cycle road) to Rovinka (refreshments) and the final descent back to Špindlerův Mlýn, this time along the back road along the Labská přehrada (Elbe Dam).
Who is the route for?
For experienced gravelists who enjoy longer routes, significant elevation gain and a mix of roads, gravel sections and nature trails. Ideal for a day trip with a good dose of adventure.
