Start - Špindlerův Mlýn
Use the bus connection to Špindlerův Mlýn - Špindlerův Bouda ridge, where your adventure begins.
Špindlerova Buda (1,198 m above sea level)
Along the old trade route, in the Silesian saddle below Malý Šišák, in 1824, Špindler's rychter Franz Špindler from Bedřichov had a shed built, which became the last refuge on the Czech side of the mountains for budars traveling with products to Silesia. After two fires, it was built entirely of stone in 1855. At the beginning of the 20th century, the attraction of the shed was increased by the construction of a road, which was completed in 1914. Today, Špindler's shed is a symbol of change. From its humble beginnings as a mountain hut to its role as a wartime internment camp to today's luxurious mountain hotel, it has weathered the storms of history with nobility.
